This study aims to describe the implementation of the project-based learning (PjBL) strategy in animal collage activities at RA Bakti Telang and its impact on early childhood creativity and active engagement. The research is motivated by the need to develop meaningful, contextual, and child-centered learning that aligns with the developmental characteristics of young learners. A qualitative descriptive method with a field study approach was employed. The research subjects consisted of one teacher and ten children aged 5–6 years from Group B. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of the animal collage activities conducted over three sessions. Data analysis followed the stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the PjBL strategy was implemented through five main stages: project planning, activity implementation, material exploration, artwork creation, and reflection. The teacher acted as a facilitator, providing opportunities for children to choose the type of animal, determine the natural or recycled materials to be used, and manage the collage-making process independently or in groups. The children demonstrated high enthusiasm, collaboration skills, and improvement in fine motor abilities, imagination, and sense of responsibility toward their tasks. Furthermore, the project-based collage activities encouraged children to think creatively, express their ideas visually, and understand animal characteristics through hands-on experience.
